Rules Mining-Based Gene Expression Programming for the Multi-Skill Resource Constrained Project Scheduling Problem

The multi-skill resource-constrained project scheduling problem (MS-RCPSP) is a significant management science that extends from the (RCPSP) and integrated with real production environment. To solve MS-RCPSP, it an efficient method to use dispatching rules combined parallel mechanism generate scheme. This paper proposes improved gene expression programming (IGEP) approach explore newly can broadly MS-RCPSP. A new backward traversal decoding mechanism, several neighborhood operators are applied in IGEP. dramatically reduces space complexity process, improves algorithm’s performance. Several improve exploration of potential search space. experiment takes intelligent multi-objective environment (iMOPSE) benchmark dataset as training set testing Ten discovered extracted by IGEP, eight out ten superior other typical rules.
